The Classes

For each scheduled class students are required to bring their own tools, paints, brushes and other supplies. A full list of
necessary items will be provided upon registering and acceptance into a class. A pattern, cutout and eyes will be provided
at each class.

Carving & Painting

Depending on subject matter a class may involve both carving and painting or just carving or painting depending on the
required class length and/or species. Most carving classes require the use of power tools but those wishing to use knives
may do so. Instruction will cover the areas of anatomy, pattern design, form and character, feather layout, texturing and
feather burning.

In most cases painting will be accomplished uti
lizing acrylic paints unless oils are preferred by the participant. Discussion
will include color theory, surface preparation, base coating, establishing highlights and shadows, blending techniques, dry
brushing and detailing.

Registration for Classes

A registration form must be completed for each class you wish to attend. A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the cost of
the seminar will be required to reserve a space. The balance is due 30 calendar days prior to the class. A full refund,
except for the deposit is available up to 14 calendar days prior to the class. Whispering Wings Wildlife Art reserves the
